An online resource providing the latest information on child safety for organisations and individuals has been launched by the State Government.

The resource, Safer WA for Children and Young People, features a dedicated page for children and young people to access information about online safety. It also offers advice on how to seek assistance with reporting allegations of abuse.

The release of the material is part of the State Government’s on-going commitment towards meeting its responsibilities in responding to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The department is one of many State Government agencies working together on the implementation of the Royal Commission’s 410 recommendations.

The Department of Communities is the lead agency for implementation of the Royal Commission’s recommendations and has also updated its existing child safe resource  to aid recruitment and staff management processes, Creating Child Safe Organisations (PDF 2042 KB)

Safer WA for Children and Young People provides information on support services for victims and for survivors of child sexual abuse.
