Businesses, not-for-profits and property owners with ideas for vibrant events to revitalise Perth CBD can now apply for a share of $4 million in State Government funding with grants of up to $100,000 available per applicant.

The investment is part of $12 million package aimed at increasing foot traffic in Perth CBD and Northbridge to make it a more connected, active and attractive place to live, work, visit or play.

A wide range of activities including pop-up markets, long table dinners, music or artistic events, and children's entertainment will be considered.

As part of the CBD Revitalisation Grant Program, successful recipients will be able to apply to the State Government for the use of locations such as Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square and the Perth Cultural Centre precinct.

There will be three funding rounds over the 2022/23 financial year:

  • Round 1: applications 1 July to 1 August 2022 for events held by 31 December 2022
  • Round 2: applications 1 September to 1 October 2022 for events held by 30 March 2023
  • Round 3: applications 1 February to 1 March 2023 for events held by 30 June 2023.

Applications will be assessed against the criteria of economic impact, activation, and capability to deliver.

The CBD Revitalisation Grant Program is administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
