Construction begins on Keirnan Park Recreation and Sporting Precinct
Construction has begun on the first stage of the Keirnan Park Recreation and Sporting Precinct, a major project underpinned by a $22 million commitment from the WA Government.
The Stage One improvements for the 63-hectare Mundijong Park site include:
- 2 senior AFL ovals with floodlighting and supporting infrastructure
- 6 cricket nets
- 1,500 square metre pavilion including four change rooms and covered viewing area
- single carriageway entry road
- over 200 car parking bays across 3 car parks
- landscaping and irrigation.
Other contributions to the $35 million project have been provided from the local government and private developers.
CivCon Civil and Project Management have been awarded the construction contract with the project expected to be complete within 3 years
