The Aboriginal Cultural Centre project Steering Committee (Phase 2) held its 11th meeting on 9 June 2025.
The Aboriginal Cultural Centre project Steering Committee (Phase 2) held its 11th meeting on 9 June 2025.
This meeting was the first full Steering Committee meeting chaired by Parliamentary Secretary Divina D’Anna MLA.
The Chair’s update included the following:
- Request to Tender for concept and schematic design was released the previous week
- Formal process to extend Steering Committee tenure of non-government members to 31 December 2025 (or conclusion of Project Definition Phase) is underway
- Establishment of the statewide Cultural Advisory Group.
The Committee were provided with several items for review, largely regarding the Bridging Document and its associated appendices. Committee members were provided with information about the following matters:
- Bridging Document and its associated appendices
- Project Funding and Resourcing paper
- Project governance
- Development of the Project’s Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property guidelines.
The following items were noted by the Committee:
- Project Governance Report
- Operational Plan and Financial Model
- Gateway Review paper.
The Committee endorsed the following items:
- Bridging Document and appendices
- Project Funding and Resourcing paper
- Assumptions Register
- Terms of Reference for the Project Control Group
- Communications and Stakeholder Relations update
- Aboriginal Engagement update
- Project report with included financial update.
