WA music takes centre stage during WA Music Week 2025
WA Music Week 2025 is in full swing, celebrating the diverse range of musical talents across the State.
WA Music Week 2025 runs from 12 to 21 September and celebrates musical talent across Western Australia.
The WA Government and Lotterywest has committed $605,750 to support WA Music Week for the next 4 years to help grow the event for the local music community.
The week is run by peak music body West Australian Music (WAM) with a program of events featuring over 70 local acts across 13 venues across the State.
Events across the week include the inaugural WAM Showcase, where 20 of the best emerging local talent will be presented to interstate talent buyers and the public at events held across four venues.
The two-day WAMCon conference for WA musicians and professionals will help build capacity, create pathways for artist development and share knowledge.
A one-day gathering for regional attendees focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities for regional music will be held ahead of the conference.
The funding forms part of the WA Government's economic diversification strategy to help grow Western Australia's creative industries.
