The Perth Cultural Centre rejuvenation project has just reached a key project milestone with the appointment of the artist team which will deliver the public art piece.

Respected Noongar artist and cultural advisor Justin Martin, alongside award-winning artists Susan Milne and Greg Stonehouse, will draw on traditional techniques and stories to celebrate and honour the Noongar connection to the area.

Newly completed areas in front of The Blue Room Theatre and near the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts have recently reopened to the public.

Newly released renders show how when the project is complete the rejuvenated PCC area will feature landscaped, accessible pathways lined with greenery and shaded areas, connecting the major cultural institutions.

Vibrant new spaces will enhance visitor experiences and transform the Art Gallery's rear into a vibrant, nature-filled hub for art, festivals, and community events that will improve liveability and boost cultural and tourism outcomes for the city.

The $55 million project is part of the $1.8 billion Perth City Deal, jointly funded through $10 million in Australian Government funding, alongside $45 million from the WA Government.
