Track upgrades complete at Carnarvon Race Club
Track resurfacing works at Carnarvon Race Club have been completed, made possible through the Regional Racing Infrastructure Fund.
Track resurfacing works have been completed at Carnarvon Race Club as part of the WA Government's commitment to invest $25.2 million to upgrade regional racecourses and support Western Australia's racing industry.
The $100,000 project was made possible through the Regional Racing Infrastructure Fund (RRIF), which will fund key infrastructure projects at 24 regional thoroughbred and harness racing club venues. The investment addresses critical operational needs, including improvements to turf, lighting, fencing, and administrative facilities across the State.
As part of the upgrades, Carnarvon Race Club has also received $40,000 for a track conditioning machine.
The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety is managing the RRIF initiative and the projects are being delivered via Racing and Wagering Western Australia in consultation with race clubs.
