Registration is essential

By registering for this event, you are allowing us to prepare with staffing, equipment, pre-event communication and risk management to ensure as best we can that waiting lines are reduced and all visitors to the camp can enjoy their day.

Please select your preferred time from 10 am to 12 pm, or 12 pm to 2 pm, and every effort will be made to provide priority access to the ferry/s from the Marina to Camp Quaranup on the day. We expect some lines may develop during busy times, so please be patient.

Please be aware that registering for the event does not guarantee specific seating on the ferry or priority access for the return ferry from Camp Quaranup to the Albany Marina, activities or food available for purchase on the day.


Entry to the event is free. Ferry rides cost $2 per person, return trip, payable at Camp Quaranup. Many activities on the day are free or at low cost. Food is available onsite, starting from $2.



Car parking is limited onsite at the camp and is provided to ACROD permit holders as priority. If you require parking access, please call the camp to arrange in advance, phone 61 8 9844 4087.

Parking to catch the ferry from the Albany Marina

Free car parking will be available adjacent to the Albany Boat Shed. Volunteer parking attendants will be on hand to assist.

Ferry to Camp Quaranup

People who have registered will get priority access onto the ferry boat/s to Camp Quaranup according to the morning and afternoon time slots. Individual seat allocation is not provided. We expect some lines may develop during busy times, please be patient. Registration does not guarantee priority access on the return ferry from Camp Quaranup to the Albany Marina.

The ferry boats will depart every 20-30 minutes from the Albany Marina, transporting to/from the Quaranup jetty. The ferry journey over the harbour will take around 10 minutes.

Bus to Camp Quaranup

The camp has organised a bus to collect visitors adjacent the Albany Entertainment Centre and delivering direct to Quaranup. This bus service will depart every 30 to 60 minutes, with the one-way bus journey taking around 20 minutes.

Returning back

There return ferry and bus services departing the camp throughout the day. Please be aware there may be long lines to catch the ferry/s at the end of the day. Buses will also be running to return visitors back to Albany Marina. We recommend bringing along a hat and clothing to protect you from the sun and keep some water and snacks handy during the wait.


Camp Quaranup has uneven terrain and a steep, sealed path from the ferry to the main buildings. Prams can be accommodated on the ferry and bus (folded and stored in undercarriage).

Last ferry

Subject to numbers on the day, the last ferry to the camp is expected to depart Albany Marina at 2 pm. This will ensure visitors will have an opportunity to explore the site and enjoy the festivities. If you intend to visit later in the day, please be aware that — subject to weather conditions and instructor availability — some activities may not be operating at this time and there may be existing lines limiting your ability to participate.


This is a non-ticketed event. You are not required to bring a printed ticket to the event. We will email you closer to the date so please remember to check you inbox a few days prior to the event to receive information to help you plan for the day and gain information for priority access to the ferry to Camp Quaranup for your chosen time slot.

Devonshire teas, biscuits, slices, sausage sizzle and ploughman lunches will be available for purchase, along with an ice cream truck and a coffee van.

What to bring

We recommend you bring along a refillable water bottle and coffee cup, hat, sunscreen and a change of clothes if you are planning on trying canoeing.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase, however, you are more than welcome to bring along a picnic and blanket and find a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the festivities.

Please bring along gold coins ($2 per person) for the return ferry trip (volunteers will accept payment on arrival at Camp Quaranup).

Some activities will require a gold coin payment.

Climbing wall $2

Minimum participant height of 1m, and harness must be able to fit securely. Closed shoes must be worn.

Obstacle course $2

Minimum age 3 years+.Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Canoeing free

Participation subject to fitting a personal floatation device and children accompanied by an adult.

Geocaching and rogaining free

It is recommended children are accompanied by an adult.

Kite making $2

All ages.

Tours free all ages

It is recommended children are accompanied by an adult.

Archery free

5 year old+ with parents assistance.

Refund policy

This is a free event. In the event you are unable to attend on the day, you are not required to return your tickets for a refund.
