Licensees are eligible for a refund as part of the COVID-19 relief package.

If payment was made online by credit card, and that card is still valid, you do not need to provide any further information or contact the department. Your payment will automatically be refunded back to that card.

If payment was made by another method complete the online form to obtain your refund.  You will need to provide:

  • Liquor licence number/s
  • Premises name/s
  • Contact details – email and telephone number
  • Proof of payment – provide a digital copy of the initial fee and/or penalty fee* paid (receipt)
  • Bank account details for payment of refund – bank account name, BSB and account number

*Proof of payment showing the date of payment, amount and payee (e.g. screenshot of transaction from your bank account or bank statement.)

Due to the large number of annual licence fees to be refunded it may take several weeks to receive a refund of your annual licence fee and any late penalty fee you have paid.
