WA Trails and Recreation Forum
  • Annual trails forum comes to Great Southern region.
  • Trails enthusiasts encouraged to get in quick as last year was a sell-out event .
  • Registrations close at 5pm 6 October 2021.
  • More than 150 people expected to attend.

This year’s forum will showcase the Great Southern region and is expected to be bigger and better than last year’s sell-out event in Dwellingup.

The forum features a spectacular line up of guest speakers including a keynote presentation from Former Olympic athlete and passionate outdoor recreation advocate Emma George.

A range of topics will be discussed including:

  • trail planning and building
  • trails as a COVID-19 recovery tool
  • international and local case studies
  • the economics of trails
  • Aboriginal tourism and more.

There will be opportunities to network with other key industry stakeholders throughout the forum, including at a sundowner hosted by the City of Albany.

This event is a partnership between the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC), Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), Outdoors Great Southern and the City of Albany.
