Gnala Boodja Mili Mili, "Our country on paper" acknowledges the Ngoongar names of 31 significant features of then the inner-Perth area.

All of the place documented on the map are supported by a detailed description about the significance of the area as well as early photographs and references used.

The map is the first of its kind produced by a government department to comprehensively feature the Aboriginal place names of an inner capital city in Australia.

During the International Year of Indigenous Languages, students from Bibra Lake Primary School reviewed the place names on Gnarla Boodja Mili Mili and demonstrated the correct pronunciation of the names.
