The Banned Drinkers Register trial operates in Carnarvon and Gascoyne Junction, which is now a banned drinker area as prescribed in the Liquor Control Regulations 1989.

This includes the local government area of Carnarvon (excluding the Coral Bay townsite) and the Gascoyne Junction townsite.
