Intro

Sveva Falletto, Executive Director, Nature-based Tourism Division at DBCA is the forum's keynote speaker, discussing how sustainable tourism practices and partnerships are enhancing visitor experiences while preserving natural and cultural heritage.

James Campbell-Sloan, Director Strategy and Economic Development at the City of Mandurah will explore the decision making and economic benefits that Thomas Dambo’s Giants of Mandurah have brought to the Peel region.  

The day will be packed with exciting and up-to-date industry content and numerous networking opportunities with like-minded trail blazers and industry leaders.

Topics for discussion include:  

  • nature-based tourism 
  • inclusive trail participation  
  • sustainable trail development 
  • storytelling through Aboriginal engagement.

Light catering will be provided throughout the day with morning tea and lunch, plus tea and coffee.

Venue and parking information

Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (MPAC) is a multi-purpose venue situated on the waterfront of Mandjar Bay.

You’ll find MPAC on the water’s edge of Mandjar Bay, just a 50-minute drive south from Perth, accessible by car and train.

Parking is available at the Fishtrap entrance of MPAC. Alternatively, you may park outside Reading Cinemas, Accent or at the back of the Sebel Mandurah. 

Car parking is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and is free. Please be aware parking is limited.

Networking sundowner

Join the City of Mandurah for a networking sundowner post forum at the Peninsular Mandurah. Situated in the heart of Mandurah overlooking the eastern foreshore, the 'Pen' is a short stroll from the MPAC, where you will be greeted with a drink on arrival and some light finger-food.

Pre-forum activity

Presented by the Peel Development Commission, join us for an afternoon of insight into the creative development and storytelling of the Giants by FORM on Thursday 15 May. The FORM workshop will be followed by an informal networking Giants and dolphins cruise on the Mandurah Estuary.
