  • State Government supports Shire of York's off-roaders by funding upgrades at the York Motocross Track.
  • $40,000 will be provided by the State Government to improve the tracks as well as amenities at the facility.

Local Government Minister John Carey announced the funding today while visiting the popular trail, which hosts motorcycles and quad bikes and features a junior track.

The improvements will include upgrades to the tracks, earthworks and vegetation buffer, toilets and signage.

The project will also receive $40,000 funding from the Shire of York.

Off-road vehicles are governed under the Control of Vehicles (Off-road Areas) Act 1978, and can only be used in areas gazetted under the Act.

They can also be used on private land with the landowner's permission.
