The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) encourages all Western Australians to vote in the local government elections on 21 October 2023.

A new DLGSC campaign, created in partnership with WALGA, will be launched today by Local Government Minister David Michael.

The Vote for them campaign focuses on the many important services and resources that are delivered by local government which make our local area a great place to live.

Our libraries, parks and sporting facilities can’t vote — but we can. By participating in local elections, we can all have a say in the issues that affect our community.

A campaign toolkit is also available to help local governments to promote this important message and encourage voter participation in their communities.
