An investment of $20 million has been committed to finalise concept design and commence site investigations, to ensure the precinct meets the long-term needs of the community.

Stage 1 of the precinct is set to deliver dedicated purpose-built facilities for a variety of sporting codes, including rugby league, rugby union and AFL.

Strategically located adjacent to the new Malaga METRONET station and close to the Perth Film Studios, the Malaga Sports Precinct will leverage the Government's significant transport infrastructure investment to create a connected sporting hub, accessible via public transport, from across the metropolitan area.

The EOI process will identify suitably qualified construction partners to progress to the formal tender stage.
