The Gascoyne has a diverse range of recreational activities.
The region offers a diverse range of both active and passive recreational activities. The superb climate, hot summer and warm winter combined with the natural attractions of the region are enticing for outdoor recreation. Popular activities include surfing, kite boarding, fishing, camping, day outings and boating.

Each recipient will embark on 12 months of professional creative development, building their skills and experience to further develop an arts career in regional WA.
The RACIP is administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries with funding from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
The department works closely with a range of stakeholders in the Gascoyne region. These include local governments, the Gascoyne Development Commission, State Government agencies and not-for-profit organisations.

Within the Gascoyne Sportshouse there are development officers for various sports. These officers play an important role in developing and growing the sport within the region and work in close partnership with the department.
