Local governments host WA Bike Month events

Oct 21, 2020, 08:48 AM by Geoff White
A host of local governments are among the organisations putting on WA Bike Month events during October.

The WA Bike Month 2020 grants have awarded up to $2000 to 50 events across the State — a record figure for the program.

Thirty grants have been awarded to local governments to host events that the entire community can engage with. The grants are designed to support local, small businesses as WA continues its economic recovery from COVID-19.

Among the events taking place are the City of Fremantle Bike Month, Peddle Plantagenet (Shire of Plantagenet), Cycle by the Sea (Town of Cottesloe) and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s Bike to Work Breakfast.

WA Bike Month 2020 is co-ordinated by WestCycle and supported by the Department of Transport
