Your child's one-to-one coach... have you checked?

Nov 16, 2022, 16:32 PM by Geoff White
The Department of Communities has launched a social media campaign asking parents and guardians engaging individuals to work with or look after their children a simple question — have you checked?

The awareness campaign highlights the importance of any self-employed individual offering child-related work, such as nanny, babysitter, tutor, driving instructor or sports coach, to have a current Working with Children (WWC) Check.

Have you checked? Reminds parents and guardians to always ask to see the WWC card of an individual providing a service to their child and validate the details of the card on the WWC website.

For more information visit the Working with Children website or email the Working with Children Screening Unit Community Engagement team at WWCEvents@communities.wa.gov.au
