Tender opens for centralised cats and dogs registration system

Jan 24, 2023, 13:10 PM by Andrea Prestini
The State Government has today opened a Request for Tender for Western Australia's first centralised registration system for cats and dogs.

The centralised registration system is an integral part of the Stop Puppy Farming legislation that passed State Parliament in December 2021.

Once operational, the system will provide owners with a central point to register their pets and keep their details up to date, assisting local governments to track pets and stop the cruel practice of puppy farming.

The centralised registration system is being developed following extensive consultation with the local government sector and is anticipated to be operational in the second half of 2023.

The tender is advertised on the TendersWA website: Tenders WA | Display Tender E22036438DLGSC
