Unclaimed gambling winnings to fund worthy community projects

Western Australian community projects will benefit from sharing in about $600,000 in unclaimed gambling winnings.

The Gaming Community Trust grants program is now open with funding between $20,000 and $50,000 available for eligible not-for-profit or charitable projects run by individuals or organisations. 

The Gaming Community Trust provides advice and recommendations to WA’s Racing and Gaming Minister on the distribution of funds from casino gaming and wagering prizes unclaimed for at least 12 months.

There are 5 categories:

  • Aboriginal Promotion
  • Disability Inclusion
  • Problem Gambling Harm Reduction
  • Community Sports Engagement
  • Community Culture.

Clear benefits to the community must be demonstrated to receive a grant. For more information or to apply by 13 July 2023.
