Banned Drinkers Register — Approved Identification update

From 30 September 2024 the WA Working with Children (WWC) card, issued by the Department of Communities, will not be accepted as an approved ID for the Banned Drinkers Register (BDR).

Customers buying packaged liquor in a Banned Drinker Area must present an alternative approved ID for the BDR at the point of sale.

A full list of approved ID types can be found by visiting the BDR Approved ID web page.

Anyone who does not present an approved ID will be refused service.
