The EOI is the first step in the main tender process to replace the roof and cladding, as well as installation of additional water and power services to allow for future maintenance.
The EOI closes 19 November 2024. The main tender process will commence in mid-January with works to begin in mid-2025.
Earlier this year, local Aboriginal company Colab Construction was appointed to complete urgent remediation works to the roof and façade due to the effects of the harsh ocean-front environment.
These repair works, along with the major tender works, will culminate in a $20 million upgrade to the Great Southern's stunning entertainment facility.
The upgrades are being funded by the Western Australian Government's Asset Maintenance Fund.
